Edison Park Partnership

Partnership is an important word for us at Missio Dei Chicago. In the future partners will be those committed to Missio Dei Edison Park as their home church, fully engaged to our mission and vision for Chicago.

As we plant this new church, partnership is an opportunity for you to join the mission from the ground up, helping establish this new work of making disciples of Jesus.

Below are a few opportunities for you to consider.

Starting a new church in an urban context comes with many challenges. One is financial resources. Please consider helping us be fully funded for four years as we grow to becoming self-sustaining.

We are seeking recurring monthly gifts with a four-year commitment. What you give is up to you. No gift is too small or too large. Through your generosity, we can reach greater into our community with the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

In addition to monthly gifts, we also accept special gifts (gifts from savings, raises, stocks, or from the sale of land or maybe selling some clothes on Poshmark or putting that family heirloom on Ebay.)

We have already experienced the thrilling joy of an individual who responded to the call of God to move across the country to make Chicago her home and join us in reaching Edison Park for Jesus. Maybe you are being called. Where God calls, he provides.

Missio Dei Edison Park is actively looking to take on a church planting resident. We are a church that starts churches and we believe we can never have enough. We are committed to sending out a new church within the first three years of our existence. Consider if God is calling you to start a church in Chicago. We would love to partner with you in your journey.

It takes many people living on mission with generosity to start a new church. We are currently forming our launch team. This team will help us carry out our Sunday services and You Are Loved service opportunities in the neighborhood.

We are asking for an 18-month commitment from the launch of our first Sunday service. This helps us have build momentum, and serve our guests with excellence, allowing the Gospel of Jesus to be received freely.

We will equip, train, and empower you. You don’t need a background in church planting. Maybe you attend another church in the area. That’s ok. You could join our launch team and help us begin this new work, and then return to your home church after the 18-month commitment. We believe starting new churches is a joint effort for the global Church. We are all sisters and brothers in Jesus Christ.
