Cancelling the Fear of Poverty

Nathan Stanton   -

On Sunday I shared a message called Chicago healed from Poverty. This is is
series dedicated to the parts our city that are somewhat less than desirable Corruption,
Poverty, Violence and Division. These are found to be addressed in the Beatitudes and
we will take a couple each week to dive into. In this last week I mentioned our answer
to the fear of Poverty is to realize we are always living from abundance and not
scarcity. Below are a few verses that I meditate on as a reminder of the abundant
goodness of God even when every message or fear around me screams scarcity. When we fill
our hearts and minds with the word of God, it truly becomes sustenance we cannot live
without. All verses are New King James Version, I encourage you to check out these
and other promises of God in scripture. Meditate on them until they become a part of
your heart before the Lord.

-Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us, 21to Him be glory in the church by Christ
Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph 3:20-21

-For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God
through us. 21Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is
God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
2 Corinthians 1:20

-For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, Eph 2:14,15

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Psalm 37:3-6
