Living With Expectation: Mary of Bethany
Mary, Martha and Lazarus were close to Jesus. So much so that He would be found dining and resting His head at their home in Bethany. It was here Jesus stayed during Passover week as he went back and forwards between Jerusalem and Bethany. Mary recognized what others had not quite yet, namely, that Jesus was the son of God and the Messiah. Worship then flowed from her gratitude and desire to love Him creating this moment that will live forever and be told until the end of time. Extravagant worship impacts Jesus himself.
