Stations of the Cross
Sundays, 9-10am
Set aside time to prayerfully walk the Stations of the Cross in the overflow room this Lent. We’ve installed Scott Erickson’s artwork of the Stations of the Cross, which began as a practice of early Christians who made pilgrimage to Jerusalem and walked the traditional steps of Jesus’ final days. In the early 16th century, Stations of the Cross were put on display in many churches throughout Europe because most Christians could not afford the trip to Jerusalem. Not merely beautiful pieces of art, these images are meant to take us on a journey of contemplative prayer. We’ll have printed guides with scripture readings and reflection questions, along with quiet music, to help create a sacred space in the overflow room before church on Sundays. Come anytime after 9am for this meaningful, self-guided prayer experience.
If you’d like to come at an alternative time, please contact our Associate Pastor, Sam Tinken.
